The Teen Nutrition School’s flagship course is the Nutrition and Healthy Cooking Course for DofE Bronze Award, Skills section.

This 13-week fully online course empowers teens to make healthy food choices, by providing a fun and fascinating introduction to the science of nutrition, and teaching the invaluable life skill of cooking healthy and delicious meals. Each week features a multimedia presentation covering a range of practical nutrition topics, from how to read a food label, to managing stress through diet. There are also units on food safety, knife skills, and other kitchen basics. Each week there will also be a recipe to prepare, with full instructions, photos and videos to help. On booking the course, participants are given access to our online platform, where all course materials can be found. Students can start anytime, and work from the comfort of their own home, at their own pace and at a time convenient to them, uploading their work upon completion. Each unit will include a short online quiz or assignment to test students’ knowledge and understanding, and students will be asked to submit photos of their completed recipes.

Ideal for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this course is also suitable for anyone who would like a certificate to evidence their knowledge of nutrition and skills in healthy cooking.
